Why it matters: To ensure effective use of Classroom Monitor it is important to ensure that all staff have completed the relevant learning and you have identified where support may be required
Level 2 is all about starting to use Classroom Monitor; particularly starting to get assessment information into the system. As the CM Leader, once you have finished the Level 2 Leadership pathway learning guides, you may want to access some of the learning guides from the other pathways. This is to ensure your understanding of Classroom Monitor and to enable you to effectively support others.
Level 2 SLT Pathway
To ensure effective use of Classroom Monitor, it is important that the SLT agree their expectations so that these can be communicated clearly to staff. This can be covered in an SLT meeting and should be followed up in a staff meeting to share these expectations.
This covers functionality within the system which SLT can use to monitor how individuals are using Classroom Monitor to ensure that expectations are being met. You might want to cover this as part of an SLT meeting or encourage independent use of the learning guide.
NB Depending on their role in school, SLT members may also find it useful to access T2a, T2b, T2c and T2d
Level 2 Teacher Pathway
This covers the basics of recording assessment for pupils against objectives in your assessment framework(s). You could cover this as part of a staff meeting or encourage users to access the learning guide independently.

This covers how to import assessment data that has been generated outside of Classroom Monitor, for example the results of tests. You could cover this as part of a staff meeting or encourage users to access the learning guide independently.
This covers how to record a teacher assessment judgement directly into Classroom Monitor. Some schools find this a useful way to triangulate judgements. If your school is not using judgements, there is no need for teachers to complete this learning guide.
