CM Leader pathway, Level 3

Outcome: All users in school have completed the learning for level 3 in their pathways

Why it matters: To ensure effective use of Classroom Monitor it is important to ensure that all staff have completed the relevant learning and you have identified where support may be required

Level 3 is all about extracting data and information from Classroom Monitor to meet particular needs. Ideally, Level 2 should be completed first and enough time given so you have data to extract. There are no specific Level 3 Learning Guides on the CM Leader Pathway, however you may want to access some of the guides below in order to ensure your understanding and to support others.

Level 3 SLT Pathway

S3a: Tracking attainment and progress in school (60 mins)

This covers how to access and analyse attainment and progress information for pupils across the school. This could be covered in an SLT meeting or encourage users to access the learning guide independently. Ideally, there should be some assessment information recorded in your school’s account before accessing this learning.

S3a: Defining reporting to parents (20 mins)

There are a number of ways that Classroom Monitor can be used for reporting to parents. The associated learning guide outlines the options and key decisions that need to be made prior to using the system for reporting and would be useful to discuss in an SLT meeting .

Level 3 Teacher Pathway

T3a: Tracking attainment and progress for a class (45 mins)

This covers how to access and analyse attainment and progress information for pupils in a teaching group. This could be covered in a staff meeting or you could encourage users to access the learning guide independently. Ideally, there should be sufficient assessment information recorded for the class before accessing this learning.

T3b: Reporting to parents and others (30 mins)

This covers the options for sharing assessment information with parents. Ideally, S3a will have been completed prior to this learning, to set the school's approach to reporting, and some relevant assessment information will exist. You could cover this as part of a staff meeting or encourage users to access the learning guide independently.
