Classroom Monitor calculates the year group a pupil belongs to based on their date of birth and is not based on the year group information in your MIS. If you have pupils working 'Out-of-Year' they may currently be showing in the incorrect year group within Classroom Monitor.


Pupil Year Group Offset

A pupil may be required to work out of their chronological year if they are excelling or if they need to be held back/repeat a year.


The year group a pupil belongs to can be adjusted manually by an Admin User + or - 3 years using Pupil Management within Settings.


Settings > Pupil Management > Search for pupil > click on the pupil record > click the drop down in the “Change calculated year group (based on date of birth)” > select from Up or Down 1-3 years > Save Changes.
