Can I assess a pupil on objectives from a different ability level to the rest of the class?

There is no restriction around the objectives that any pupil can be assessed on. You can choose multiple abilities before loading a markbook and assess each individual against objectives that are appropriate for them. If you are doing this, it can be useful to select a particular strand so that you have a more manageable markbook.
